Welcome to Cane and Pine Design at the Milkhope Centre
The Milkhope Centre opened 25 years ago in 1986 following the pioneering conversion from redundant farm buildings on the Blagdon Estate.
Cane and Pine Design moved from its Newcastle Shop in 1990 and expanded from one unit to now occupy 4 amalgamated units. This has enabled Angela and Peter Small to display a huge range of products.
Visitors to our shop can look forward to constant style, enduring investment and an aesthetic sensibility that reaches beyond trends of the moment. We are not a department store, this really is a shopping experience with a difference!
We prefer the personal touch that can only be found in a family run business!
On two floors there are numerous displays of Cane Furniture with matching Foot stools, Coffee and Side Tables: Natural and White woven Cane Bathroom and Bedroom Furniture: Acacia Wood Dining and Living Room Furniture: Oak Living and Dining. All the displays are enhanced with an ever changing addition of lamps, flowers, mirrors, cushions and accessories. Our displays of Cards, Candles, Wooden Toys, Gift Wrap, Stationery, Quilts and numerous bits and pieces, including items for the kitchen, enhance the whole look of the shop and make it a joy to wander round, and with the added touch of classical music to relax you on your journey, who would want to be anywhere else!
